Libyan Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Receives President of the Arab Academy for Management, Banking and Financial Sciences to Discuss Expanding Academic Cooperation

Professor Dr. Mohamed Al-Debeib, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the State of Libya, received Professor Dr. Mostafa Hodeib, President of the Arab Academy for Management, Banking and Financial Sciences, in the presence of Dr. Rascha Ragheb, First Vice President of the Academy, along with the Academy’s delegation. The meeting comes within the framework of the Academy’s ongoing efforts to strengthen and expand its presence within the Libyan market, as well as the current coordination regarding the activation of the Academy’s headquarters in the Libyan capital, Tripoli.

The meeting was attended by a number of senior officials and leaders from the Ministry, including Dr. Saleh Al-Ghoul, Deputy Minister of Higher Education for Higher Education Affairs, and Dr. Abdel Baset Karima, Director of the International Cooperation Office at the Ministry, in addition to several officials and representatives from the Academy.

Discussions focused on exploring prospects for joint cooperation in the fields of postgraduate studies, professional training, and capacity building, in ways that contribute to developing national competencies and aligning them with labor market needs amid the rapid developments in education and scientific research. The discussions also emphasized supporting the Academy’s role and expanding the scope of its services within Libya.

During the meeting, the Minister stressed the importance of benefiting from the expertise of specialized Arab institutions in qualifying and developing professional cadres, praising the Academy’s distinguished role in preparing Arab professionals in the fields of management, finance, and banking.

For his part, Professor Dr. Mostafa Hodeib reviewed the Academy’s key programs and initiatives in executive education and institutional development, affirming the Academy’s commitment to deepening its partnerships with higher education institutions across the Arab world, with a particular focus on supporting and expanding its existing activities in Libya.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to continue coordination and exchange expertise, while studying the implementation of joint programs and initiatives that contribute to the development of the higher education system and enhance the quality of its outcomes in alignment with Libya’s national development plans.
