Ministry of Public Business Sector Signs Cooperation Protocol with the Arab Academy for Management, Banking and Financial Sciences to Enhance Training and Human Capital Development

Cairo – The Ministry of Public Business Sector, headed by Engineer Mohamed Shimi, witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol with the Arab Academy for Management, Banking and Financial Sciences. This initiative supports the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to develop affiliated companies and enhance the capabilities of their employees, aligning with national plans to improve institutional performance and promote sustainable development.

The protocol was signed by Major General Hossam Qandil, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry, and Dr. Amr Al-Nahas, Vice President of the Academy for Business Development and Training. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Mostafa Hodeib, President of the Arab Academy, and Dr. Rasha Ragheb, First Vice President of the Academy.

Engineer Shimi emphasized that this collaboration stems from the Ministry’s central role in managing and developing state investments in public business sector companies and its strong belief in the importance of investing in human capital as a key factor for improving institutional performance and competitiveness. He highlighted that building human capabilities is fundamental to any reform or development process, making this cooperation essential for qualifying employees with the latest skills and knowledge to lead modernization and restructuring initiatives.

Dr. Mostafa Hodeib expressed his appreciation for the Ministry’s support and affirmed that this collaboration will positively impact employees across the Ministry and its affiliated companies by leveraging the Academy’s expertise in various fields.

Dr. Rasha Ragheb also expressed gratitude to the Minister for this valuable opportunity, noting that the partnership will contribute to the development of scientific and practical competencies and open wider future prospects for the Ministry, its companies, and the families of employees covered under the protocol.

The protocol provides wide opportunities to enhance the competencies of employees through specialized training programs, as well as partial scholarships for Ministry employees and affiliated companies in postgraduate programs in Business Administration (Master’s and Doctorate). A joint committee will be formed between the Ministry and the Academy to implement an action plan, including designing specialized training programs, providing postgraduate opportunities, and organizing workshops and seminars to promote knowledge and experience exchange in management, finance, and banking.

The signing of this protocol reflects the Ministry’s commitment to supporting institutional reform pathways, balancing operational efficiency improvement with investment in human capital, which forms the foundation for a more sustainable and competitive national economy.
